Reviews and Ratings
My stay at this hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms, while having a small balcony and spacious bathrooms, felt overpriced for their size. The upstairs bedroom had a low ceiling and lacked proper ventilation. The service was mostly friendly and helpful, with the exception of one grumpy staff member. The location was great, close to Piazza Navona and surrounded by charming streets and piazzas. The dining experience exceeded my expectations, offering top-quality ingredients and delicious options, though the price may not have been justified. Overall, a decent place with a few drawbacks but in a prime location.
The hotel has surprising room sizes at first, some with unpleasant graffiti, but the suite I stayed in was gorgeous and suitable for families at a reasonable price. The service was excellent, even though they could provide more up-to-date information like weather forecasts. The location is fabulous, right in the heart of Rome without feeling overwhelmed by tourists. The dining options were good, though the breakfast room was too small. Overall, a wonderful stay with great value for money.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. While the room had a unique architectural design, it looked a bit worn. The price seemed steep for what was offered, but the staff at the reception were helpful in showing us around.
During my 4-night stay at the Hotel Raphael between Christmas and New Years, I found the smallest Relais & Châteaux room I've ever stayed in. The service was lovely, especially at the reception desk, and the location was superb being just steps from Piazza Navona. However, the rooms were very poor for a Relais & Châteaux standard.
The hotel was lovely with very nice amenities, but the rooms were so hot it was almost unbearable. The service was wonderful, attention to detail was great, and the location was excellent. The dining experience was gourmet. Overall, a great stay but with room for improvement.
The hotel had a few drawbacks, like unattractive and dated rooms, but our stay was made pleasant by the impeccable cleanliness and tidiness. The staff were wonderful, offering a great start to our day with fantastic service and even recommending a lovely breakfast spot nearby. The central location was a real highlight, making it easy to walk to all the key Roman landmarks. The dining options were average overall, but the concierge did suggest a nice cafe for espresso.
The hotel's location was perhaps its best feature, being right next to Piazza Navona but on a quiet street next to all the restaurants, with a cozy and comfortable room that had a slight odor issue but quickly dissipated. The service was top-notch, incredibly nice and attentive, making the stay feel five-star. The dining experience offered excellent and sophisticated options, though there was room for improvement. The location itself was super, perfect for exploring the historic center of Rome. The facilities were well-equipped and satisfying overall.
I found the hotel to be a comfortable stay with spacious rooms. Although the rooms tended to get a bit hot in the evening, the range of modern and classical options was impressive. The design by Richard Meier added a unique touch, but the small and dark feel was a downside. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of Rome but still quiet, offering a perfect setting for exploring the city. The service was friendly and helpful, though a bit more up-to-date information would have enhanced the experience. The dining experience had its highs and lows, with delicious options but a rather unpleasant breakfast room. Overall, a nice stay with a few areas that could be improved.
